It Begins - Taur's Adventures

I came to town to restock my supplies. My waterskin had torn when Spot and I were getting dinner the previous day. Actually, it was Spot's fault, she missed the wolf with her claws and got the waterskin that was hanging on my belt. Those things cost a gold to replace! So expensive...Anyways, we got the item and was on our way out of civilization when we noticed a crowd forming. Turns out the town Council wanted to organize a group of adventurers to solve the problem of a polluted river. Well, anything I could do to restore Nature...Suffice to say, they picked a Wizard, a traveling minstril, a sneaky type, and me. Spot didn't mind the others too much, so I agreed to go along and assist. We were each given a fine weapon and some potions.

Seeing it was night time, we were given a small dwelling to sleep in for the night. The sneaky one, Ian, tried to sleep in the bed near mine, but Spot didn't like that. Spot went to great lengths to tell Ian that this room is not for him, and Ian graciously left to another room.

The next day brought new hope and we left for the river. While we were following the river to the source of the malady, we came across two beetles as big as my cat, Spot. The beetles attacked, and well, lets just say that I didn't do too well. It turns out a bite from a four foot tall beetle can be very damaging. I made sure to step back, and another took my place in the front line, next to Spot.
After the beetles were dispatched, the group wanted to go to their den. This is not something I would find worthwhile, but they went anyways. They found a few items, and the scimitar later turned out to be magical(I took that for myself). The day ended, and we went to sleep with a watch rotation.

When we woke up, the Wizard and the minstril were gone! I looked, and Spot sniffed around, but we couldn't find out where they went to. Right when we had given up, we heard a bunch of clanging in the distance. Well, Spot and I did, but that's besides the point. We all quickly hid. I hid very well, much better then Ian did.

Turns out, it was a Dwarf who knew where we were without even looking...Anyways, he professed to follow Moradin, and it seemed so at the time. Turns out he was looking for the same thing we were. Very rude, this Dwarf. Kept calling us Elves and Treehuggers. While he was explaining where he came from, even though we didn't ask, the river moved. It surrounded us and took the form of an old man. We were all skeptical at first, but I realized that he was an old Druid who became so powerfull, he became a river. He told us to go find a blind Druid. Knowing Nature works in stange ways, I agreed to go, and convinced the others to come with me. The river reformed and went back onto it's previous course.

The Dwarf immediatly left and said we could follow him as his servants. The Dwarf knew of a place to get boats, so we agreed to journey with him as a group. Soon as that happened, a pack of wolves attacked us. We fought them off, and they almost all died. I applied my healing arts to one, and it survived however. Nature reclaims it's own. We followed the trail back to their burrow, where we found pups. The Dwarf went inside and came back out with some items of worth. We packed the things up, and Ian, despite my urgings, brought the pups. Nature claims it's own, but he doesn't see things that way...

That evening, we came to town and came across a peddler with some halflings. Seems he was a boat captain, and we agreed to talk later about prices for travel. We were then attacked by Kreshnars. You may not know of them. They are basically feral beasts that can pull the skin off their faces to frighten prey. I wasn't affected, but the rest were. We fought them. After an intense battle, Spot and I managed to kill them all.

Afterwards, the halflings, graciously led me to their lair, where I found a few items of worth and brought them back to town. Ian had left to bring the pups to a Druid's Grove nearby, and they thanked him. The Dwarf left to get drunk. There was a Druid at the bar, and he cast a spell that made all magic items he looked at, glow. The scimitar glowed(That's the one I grabbed), and the Dwarf's pocket glowed. Turns out, when the Dwarf when into the pup's den, he found a magic feather that he kept for himself. Despite my urgings, he insisted on keeping it, and some fullplate we had found.

The boat captain approached before I could talk to the Dwarf about group dependancy. He wanted to charge us a large price to go where he was already headed. I informed him we were on the business of the council, and he allowed us to come for free. We turned in for the night shortly after. What is the source of this polution? Will Ian keep one of those wolf pups? How does a person who get's their power from Moradin keep things from the group? Will the Dwarf stay with us? These things were on my mind as I went to sleep.

I work. I've got a sign job during the weekends and I work on computers during the week.

In D&D:
I've got an online game going on Mondays, and Wednesday, the guys come over to play in my garage.

In UO:
I have a good chance at being a Shard Reporter for Stratics! I feel confident in my abilities to get this position.
I have a Paladin, a Tamer/Mage, and a thief-I mean-Treasure Hunter.

I'm trying to get a new comp to work. I bought a motherboard with a broken pin in it. Unforunately, the pin is where the power switch plugs in, so I can't turn on the power. I'll figure some way to sodder the thing on, I'm sure. For now, all I have is a 1.0 ghz.

Masterclif-It goes back to Dragon Warrior 1. It only allowed for four letters in a name, so my first name was MSTR. I thought it was funny for everyone to call me master. The second time, I used CLIF. Which is my name. Go forward to AOL 3.0, you know, the floppy days. I had to think up a 10 character name, max. YellowDRGN and YelwKnight, along with their alternatives, were already taken. I was still a fan of Captain N, the Game Master, so I just put the two Dragon Warrior names together to make Masterclif. I am the only person with this name.

I have two. One is just a light brown wooden own with plastic bristles(for brushing hair), and the other one is made of red plastic(for brushing my hair after the hairspray).

Most of the time, I wear a small gold cross on a gold chain that I got for my eighteenth birthday. Oh, and my 2000 class ring. It says honor on it and has various pictures.

The music ended, but I can still hear my computer, the airconditioner running at full blast(24/7 just to keep it under 90), and the general high-pitched scream of electricity. You know that high-pitched noise you hear when you turn on the TV??? I can hear it from anything that uses electricity. I don't hear it when I'm in the desert, away from it all, however.

Gargoyles. It happened to be on and I was installing Diablo II. There was nothing good on TV at all.

Oh man, an actual post!!! What is the world coming to???

I actually logged into the main LJ site for the first time in like, forever. I found out that people have added me to their friend's list and didn't tell me.
So I want to apologize for not adding you a long time ago. You see, I use a program to make these things and I rarely log in.

Not much of an apology, but that's the best I could think of.

An update: I'm working now in the field of medical billing. I got my section caught up, as well as two others. Monday, my 4th day there, I will get another section caught up again. My boss is amazed.

Anyone want to play a PbP 3.5 D&D game???

I had a screwed up dream last night. When I was typing it up, it sounded strange and I'm not sure what to think about it. I learned in Psychology that even a wierd sounding dream may be something completly different. All about rabbits and such. I'll post it when I get home, but it sure is strange.

Ragnarok Online has been fun lately. I've got a few guys. The Archer/Bard is called Soldat_Sniper. Why??? Well, every sniper needs to know music. The Swordsman is Soldat_Soldier. The Theif/Rogue will be Soldat_Infiltrator. The Merchant/Alchemist will be Soldat_Confusor. The Mage/Wizard will be Soldat_General. Watch as nobody will understand the naming system.
I just got an Emperium yesterday. I got it from an Orc Skeleton. I've played since Alpha, and this is my first one. I'm wondering what to call my guild...Maybe 'Power Warriors'

I really have to update this more often.

I've got a test D&D game up, just to test the new guy. Plus, I can use it to show what a PbP game really is. It seems to be running smothly, though 1 or 2 more players would help ;) I made a yahoo account and made a theif. He's temporary until more people join.

I've got my Clerical Certificate requirements done with, but I wont get the Certificate for 4-6 weeks. Sucks, but I'll just put it on my resume anyways. Finally done with this, now I can go apply at some real jobs.

Games...I've been playing RO alot lately. It's a fun game. I've also started Deus Ex over from the beginning. The game is like a 007 movie, but I swear it's like a single-pc D&D game. You can even lvl up!!! I've bought PSO ep 1&2 for the Game Cube. It seems fun enough, but I can't wait to unlock a few levels so I can get others to play with me at home.

Books...I just got the Monster's Edition book of D&D 3.5. It was only ten bucks!!! I did buy it used, but the only thing wrong with it was a crushed corner, and that is probably due to the poor shipping of FedEx. I'm reading that like crazy.

Talking...I've known someone named Koala for awhile now. I met her through RO. She had posted that she was making a DevientArt gallery, but hadn't done anything to it before I lost my internet connection. I recently remembered it after talking with her again, and wowza. Um...Let's just say I was surprised by what I saw. Not that I saw anything bad, mind you, but I was looking for hand drawings at the time. Wish I could talk to others, but everyone is always away it seems.

Finally, things are starting to look up in the world again.

More bad news

My cat, Sasha, who is at my sister's house, has been bad.
She's plucked out the primary feathers of one of the wings for one of her birds. This never happened before because of my sister recently got a fidgety baby bird. This has gotten Sasha interested in birds.
She has also somehow broken through a thick glass window...Nobody has seen her do it. It just happened.

What this all means is that she will be an out-door cat. We are getting her a collar and tag, then letting her outside. The thing is, I don't think I have the courage to let her out by myself. She's set up for outside living, so there is no problem with that. It's just...Well, if you had a cat for a year indoors, you will understand.

Bad things happens in threes. So I'm wondering if I will lose my foodstamps next. That, or a car accident are the only things I have left to lose.

I was fired about 2 hours ago. It came right out of the blue. My boss said he had to chose between either me, or a person who has been trying to fight me(He's been working for a year), and guess who was picked. *SIGH* Life sucks sometimes.
The worst thing about it is that I had turned down 2 jobs just to work this one. Guess I make bad choises. It seems that only 1 person wants to play D&D, so I have no idea what to do there.

What I have to look forward to is that I should get my clerical certification by the end of next week. The reason I don't have it now is because I never knew the name of a decimal tab or that you can make 12 things on the clipboard for ms-word instead of 10.

Wow, finally got my internet back!!! I'm sooo happy. Now to get down to business.

I lost the internet because I couldn't afford it. With no phone line, cable is my only option(Not that I mind). So, it's restored and everything. I've been trying to catch up with what I missed. Man, you wouldn't believe this stuff.

I just downloaded LLIV(To play it through now that the place I was stuck in was fixed). I started over from the beggining. Heehee. Found a cheat. You can take the armor off of the people you start with. That way you get some powerfull equipment early in the game.

Havn't done much. Just re-installed ZO, and browsed the forums. Now I'm trying to download more movies. I went through the entire list of episodes I had downloaded for Transformers and Beast Wars. Twice.

I'm trying to get a D&D game going at groups.yahoo.com/groups/masterclif if anyone is interested. Hope you join soon.

Another day. fI've got to clean my house today...Which means that it will take about 6 trash bags. Man, I need to be more organized. Jobs suck. The good thing is that I have 3 with dates for calls and/or interviews for Monday and Tuesday. So I force myself to be optimistic.

My problem is I know German. The two languages are so similar and so different that I end up confusing them to no end. I'm not a linguist I guess. That and the fact it would take years. I hope to GOD that I don't stay here that long...Too hot for the summer.

This person named Sandra from Utopia keeps messeging me, and I have no idea what's going on. I don't mind, but it's sudden.
ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW!!! Going to be played Tuesday 5-7. I am SO going to be there. I haven't seen the movie yet. I hope to take *someone* with me, but I don't know if she would like it(the asking, not the movie). I'll ask, but she will probably ignore the question. My only going point is that she loves the movie to no end and has been pestering me about it for years.

Bah, I hate Job Hunting. It's a pain in the foot I tells ya. I hear, "Yes, we need a few people. Come back and talk to the manager tommarrow." I get there, and they say, "I'll call you." grr...I think the fact I'm not a linguist who knows Spanish like a 1st language is hurting me here. "Ah, you checked in the application that you know more than one language???" "Yes" "Spanish???" "No, German." "Ah, I see. hmm...I'll call you."

Good things:
I finished my playlist. Now I can listen to all my songs.
Made an awsome hard Invasion in Stronghold. Try to beat Ratty, heh.
I might be playing D&D soon, which is cool. It's about time I can play the game as a PLAYER and not a DM.
For those of you who like D&D, I am almost done making an adventure and will be taking invites soon. I do require that you read the Player's Guide though. There's too much to explain if you've never Role-Played before. Only thinking of about 3-4 players, but there has to be that many out there atleast, right???

I have to start work thirty minutes earlier.
I then have a rough day listening to what my neighbor calls it, "Gutless western whining"
Thirty minutes till the end of the day: 'Mandatory overtime begins now without warning for the next hour...All your base are belong to us'
I get home at around 6:10 or so.
I realize I am home at about 7:00
I go to sleep around 9:00.

See??? No time.

Wow, what a horrid day. 10 hours of nightmares...And today isthe same way!!! I tell you, my neck can't take the strain.

On another note, I was going to say hi to Matt's brother, but figured that since he didn't say hi to me, he was busy. For that matter, I was going to say hi to Matt. He was at away/busy at the time. I'm begginning to think he never changes his availability.

The busiest day of the whole year is today at work. How fun...This means that currently, 103 people are trying to talk to me. With this amount of in-calls, it's a wonder they let us take our breaks!!! The plus side is that the day goes somewhat fast. The down side is that by the end of the day, you are to tired to care. So, if you see me, say hi or whatever to see if I am cognizant. If I am, bug me about that flash project I said I would do. That way I spend time making that instead of playing Live-a-Live.

So, um...Oh yeah!!! Thanksgiving!!! It was...strange. Many bad things happened. These things prompted my grandmother to ask me to live at her house with her, instead of by myself, about 60 times. I went to Mexico Saturda-Saterda-Sat. It was fun arguing over prices. Let's just say, my family made out big time.

I am finally treating this as a journal. Which means I don't post often, but I do when something happens.

I've got two things.
The first is that someone tried to break into my house just as I was going to sleep Thursday night. I immediatly got up, and inspected the house. I looked around and grabbed a nearby sword(Ialways have one close), and made threatening gestures as I crept silently from froom to room. A shadow passed the side window of my house, but he was gone before I made it outside. I then crept around the house, just to be sure nobody else was around. I called my father, called the sheriff(who couldn't find the house), and then waited 3 hours. My father left, I called the sheriff to find out what was going on...They couldn't find my house. So, I gave them directions a child could follow and just asked them to cruise the neighborhood in case the prowlers were still about.

The second thing is...um...god dangit!!! I forgot!!! Oh well, see ya guys later.
